Full description
Experience the awe-inspiring USS Intrepid, a legendary aircraft carrier that served in World War II, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War. This floating museum at Pier 86 offers a unique journey through decades of naval and space exploration history.
Explore four major decks of the USS Intrepid, each revealing different aspects of life at sea. From the Hangar Deck with its historical objects and crew stories to the Flight Deck with its impressive collection of aircraft against the Manhattan skyline.
Visit the Gallery Deck to see operational areas like the Combat Information Center and squadron ready rooms. These immersive spaces give you a realistic sense of how the ship functioned during active missions.
Discover the personal side of naval service on the Third Deck, where you'll see restored kitchens, dining areas, and sleeping quarters that show where the crew ate, rested, and found comfort during long months at sea.
Stand beneath Space Shuttle Enterprise, NASA's first space shuttle prototype, in the Space Shuttle Pavilion. This exhibit features photographs, videos, and original parts from the shuttle era.
Experience the Apollo exhibition, which tells the story of the moon missions through original artifacts, mission recordings, and detailed recreations. Walk inside a full-scale Apollo 11 command module and see moon rocks and astronaut equipment.
