And everybody is happy. You get a cheap airline ticket and the airline get at least a little money for the empty seat.
Of course there is a chance that you may not be able to get on the flight if there are no cancellations. And the fact is that you have to be in the terminal waiting for the cancellations. This can mean some very long waits indeed.
