It is easy to imagine yourself on a warm and sunny tropical island, especially during those cold, gloomy days of winter. When winter time comes people tend to get down and feel blue. This is not only unhealthy for their psyche, but it also starts to interfere with there jobs.

So what is the cure for the winter time blues? It must be a nice quick getaway to some warm and sunny place. It could be the beach or an island or really anywhere warm and sunny. It should preferably be somewhere with lots of sunshine and lots of water to cool off. Pack your sun block and your vintage Wayfarer sunglasses and get ready to relax and have some fun in the sun. Just remember to take it easy on your getaway; you don’t want to come home more exhausted than when you left.

A good rule of thumb is to give yourself an extra day when you get back into town, that way you have a full day to acclimate yourself back to normal living. The shock of going back to work and school the day after your back from an awesome vacation can be too much for some people; it can make you feel worse than before you left.

So when the winter weather is getting you down the first thing you need to do is jump onto the computer and start looking into destinations and travel arrangements. A great site to do this at is Expedia.com. Expedia makes it simple for you to book your entire vacation, on one site, while saying yourself some money. When making arrangements on the internet you also will save the time of making hundreds of calls checking airlines and hotel availability and prices. You can make all your plans without even having to change out of your pajamas!

You can fly down to south Florida, maybe take a swing down through the Keys and check out some of the brilliant sunsets in Key West. Or, you can fly to Mexico and spend some time in Acapulco and soak up the rays in that new bikini. Just make sure to use the sunscreen, you are going to be very pale from being covered up all winter and you don’t want to burn.

In addition to all these wonderful natural activities there are also numerous theme parks and attractions that visitor can enjoy. While journeying about the nation, attempting to experience every last great natural as well as manmade wonders that the United States of America has to offer, South Dakota as well as Mt. Rushmore is definitly at the height of the list. Although your options are grand and the locations to explore are diverse, there’s something exceptional about encountering the sculptured faces of those distinguished presidents gazing down from the mountain. Along with certain memorials in Washington. this is a United States historical monument that ought to be experienced if feasible.

There are many other man made wonders that are also worth your time to visit. Starting with the arch in St. Louis, then the Empire State Building in New York. Of course, let us not forget to mention the recognizable lady of our country, The Statue of Liberty, in New York.

The launch pad at Cape Canaveral and a Space Shuttle launch is an amazing experience to see in person. There is just something about feeling the roar of the huge engines as it hurtles towards space. A day launch is cool, but seeing a launch that lights up the night or early morning sky is even cooler.

In that respect there are so numerous wonderful locations to explore as well as witness, only there’s something exceptional about Rushmore. Process on the carving commenced in 1927 and wasn’t finished till 1941. The approximated monetary value of the project equaled just below one million dollars and over four hundred tons of stone was abstracted to obtain the carving. Annually, according to the national park service, more than three million travelers go through the park and wonder at the accomplishment. The park is situated in the famed Black Hills of South Dakota and in that location there are numerous of outside activities for travelers to have.

There are coordinated events for travelers and if you sign on ahead of time and your application is admitted, your scout group can take part in the flag bringing up ceremony in front of the monument. Several outdoor activities are obtainable from hiking up and sportfishing as well as camping out in the camping site field. The Best Way To Make Last Minute Travel Arrangements

Putting together a last minute trip is a hassle, and if it were not for the internet, would almost be impossible. The internet, though bad on so many levels, is certainly a benefit when it comes to booking last minute holidays and vacations. Imagine all of the long distance phone calls and calls to operators for numbers and all the people you would need to talk to before you could book a decent room and a flight to your destination.

If you are planning to utilize air travel in order to reach your vacation destination, You will have to conduct a telephone call to all airline in order to encounter flight arrangements and the price of flights and what flights were currently available. The same would be true for your boarding accommodation when you eventually reach your destination. If you were traveling to New York City, you would have to in some way acquire the telephone numbers to half a dozen accommodations, view a map to confirm that they were located in the area that you desire to stay and then contact every one of them to obtain rates as well as the accommodation availability.

The only way to avoid the hassle of making all of these phone calls and keeping all of the information straight would be to hire a travel agent. And even if you did hire a travel agent, you couldn’t even be sure that you were getting the best rate and the best value for your money. Oh yeah, and not to mention that you had to pay the travel agent and the agent was probably getting a kick back from the airline they chose for you as well as the hotel.

All of these hassle and hidden expenses can be avoided these days, although there are probably a lot of unemployed travel agents floating around. Thanks to the power of the internet, or what used to be referred to as the information superhighway, but that, much like travel agents are outdated and irrelevant.

Looking for a hotel room? Search the internet. Want to schedule your flight? Search the internet. Whether it is deciding on where to visit or book a rental car, you can do it all on the internet. There are no phone calls, no worries about getting the best deals and no hours spent on talking to people who are not wanting to help you unless you are planning on making your purchase or reservation with them. The internet is the fast, simple and friendly way to plan you vacations, whether they are last minute plans or for the following year. Everything can be done with a few clicks of your mouse.

Cheap Flights are often difficult to find, unless you know where on the internet to search. If you log onto www.expedia.com.au, you are sure to find international flights at a price that you can afford.

SeaWorld, The Orlando Experience That Many Overlook

Orlando is recognized for several things. One of those things are outstanding resort areas like Walt Disney World and each of the park lands that accompany Disney, such as, Islands of Adventure and Downtown Disney. In addition to all the local restaurants and golfing. Although these areas are great and can make for wonderful vacation memories, there is one park that is often overlooked by visitors to the Orlando area. This fabulous park, that many never seem to find time to visit is SeaWorld.

SeaWorld is an awesome theme park that is half amusement park and half educational experience. While there is a lot of learning to be had at SeaWorld, there is even more fun to be had. There are so many attractions and shows, that you might not even find time to go on the rides.

SeaWorld is owned by the owners and operators of Busch Gardens, therefore you can expect nothing but the most thrilling rides in the world. From the spectacular roller coaster to the wonderful water coaster, you will have yourself hours of excitement and fun. In addition to the exciting thrill rides, SeaWorld also has some of the best animal attractions and exhibits found anywhere on the globe.

SeaWorld is naturally home base to the most notable killer whale on the globe, Shamu and her fellowship. The animals are naturally the primary attractor and SeaWorld spares no expense handling the animals as though they are the stars of of the park, and in fact they are just that. They are substantially attended to and handled as though they are members of the family. The Shamu show and the walrus and seal show are in all probability two of the highlights of any trip to the park. The penguin house and the water ski demonstrate are likewise distinguished attractions.

Among my own favorite attractions at SeaWorld is the arctic expedition. There are polar bears that dwell in frosty bodies of water in a display that looks a good deal like their native-born northern home ground. SeaWorld also brings about you a glance of a seldom seen Narwhal, an animal that most people would never get the opportunity to see in the wild.

The park is an excellent place to see, particularly for those adolescent oceanographers that may be in the household. It truly is a discovering experience masked as an amusement park. It will make up a day that the entire family will remember for years to come. You are able to buy passes that include both parks, Busch Gardens and SeaWorld for a specialized cost. It is just a short trip from Tampa to Orlando. There are shuttles available in both directions.

If you are looking for a vacation that is full of exploration and history, then visit Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming is the perfect destination for you. Although many believe that the name of this park is Jellystone, the truth is Jellystone is the name of a fictional location for Yogi Bear, and Yellowstone is the historical National Park located in the United States.

Yellowstone National Park is the world largest and most frequently visited National Forests in the world. Visiting the park has a feel of stepping back in time to the old west from many years ago in America. The majority of the park is located at higher elevations and above almost seven thousand feet. It is cold in the winter and warm in the summer, and offers one of the greatest outdoor experiences you will ever have in your life.

During the coldest and snowiest parts of the winter season, parts of the park are isolated and roads can be closed. For outdoor lovers, and nature lovers, nothing should keep you from visiting the park. There are plenty of things to do such as hiking and fishing and camping. You might see wild elk, bears, and wolves. This is a wildlife preserve and there are plenty of wild creatures still roaming around. There are some designated camping areas and even nicer accommodations available if you don’t want to rough it in a tent and sleeping bag.

While out exploring Yellowstone National Park you will want to be sure to visit many of the beautiful geysers, including Old Faithful, the worlds most famous geysers. There are also many exhibits for you to look at, where you will learn of the history of the area, both humans and wildlife. While exploring you can decide to go on your own, or partake in a guided ranger tour as this will give you a more in depth look at the park and a wonderful personal experience.

The rangers of the park would like to remind everyone that under no circumstance should you feed the animals. Feeding the animals is not only a danger to the visitors in the area, it is also a danger to the diets of the animals and their eating habits.

There are other destinations on the east coast beside just ones in Florida. Although Florida is a very popular tourist destination, it is not the only choice for those with vacations on their mind.

Lets move up from Florida and enter into Georgia. There is a lot to do in the “peachy” state and there is no lack of beaches. The city Atlanta has many local events, and have a sports team in football, basketball, hockey and baseball, therefore you can always catch some sort of a game no matter what season you are visiting. If you would rather visit a smaller city then be sure to check out the small town of Savannah.

North of Georgia is the Carolina’s. Both South Carolina and North Caroline has beautiful beaches and breath taking mountain scenery. There are many smaller and large cities depending on what your interests are. Right in between the two states is an area that is designed for travelers and families. This area is called South of the Border and has everything from little knick knack shops to restaurants, to amusement rides and accommodations. It is a fun time for all.

If these things aren’t enough, keep moving up the coast and I am sure you will find even more great things to do. Virginia is the next stop and has plenty of things to offer a traveler or vacationer. It also puts you really close to our nations capital, Washington D.C. With all the monuments and museums in D.C., it could take a normal person weeks just to see every exhibit in the Smithsonian.

Head a little further north and you will be in New York. While you are visiting New York you can take in a Broadway show, see where some of your favorite programs are recorded and even take a walk to Rockefeller Center. Along the Golf Coast, there are many places that you can enjoy the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, on of the best places to visit the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico is in Florida. Florida is a peninsula that goes around the entire peninsula. Although many of the beaches in Florida are perfect for a beach vacation, the Island Keys is not ones of these places. Thanks to the beautiful climate and water the Keys is perfect for a vacation filled with water sports, but not much more than that.

While in Florida you will want to go to the southern most point and visit the Hemingway house. At the Hemingway house you will get to watch some odd six toes cats wondering on the premise. On the Atlantic side of the state you should visit the fabulous and famous Miami Beach. Venture further north and visit Cocoa Beach and its famous Ron Jon store that is open 24/7. Although Cocoa Beach is a tourist destination it is still a great place to visit whether you are looking to lay in the sun or surf.

There are things to do other than just hang out on the beach. Ninety minutes away in Orlando is Disney and all the other theme parks that you would want to visit and just a couple of hours north is Daytona Beach. Daytona is another great destination on the Florida east coast. A couple of hours across the state, on the Gulf of Mexico side is Tampa and Clearwater.

Tampa is a fun city with plenty to do, for fine dining and sporting events, to world famous theme parks like Busch Gardens. Across the bridge is the Clearwater/ St. Petersburg area. Clearwater has one of the finest beaches in the whole state, with tons of white sand and plenty of sun and fun. There is so much to do there, that you might need more than a week to do it all.

South of St. Petersburg is Sarasota and Ft. Myers. There are many great seafood restaurants and Ft. Myers has one of the greatest art museums in the state. The Ringling Museum is the hot spot for artist scene and has one of the largest collections of fine art. There is so much to see and do, while visiting Florida, you may find yourself return each and every vacation.
