Find Out How To “Take Off” The Expensive Fares and Get Where You Need To Go!

It’s no secret, Holiday Airfare can almost cost more than your total Christmas shopping list. It’s starting to get a little out of control! We aren’t the only people who see it you know… Even the major credit card companies are pushing their main advertisements towards REAL reward systems where you get airline miles.

So don’t feel down if you throw away more than 45 minutes looking for the best possible price and only save $10 after all the work you put in. I used to do the same thing and know PLENTY of people who are continuously having that problem. But I wanted to let you know about an outstanding (although way under-used) program that Bing.com has now.

You see, Bing.com has opened up what they call the Price Predictor Program. This allows you to look at EVERY major airline, compare prices, and also tells you whether or not you should wait before booking your flight because prices may go up. Like most people, I thought you HAD to book two weeks or more in advance, and that’s not true anymore! Airlines picked up on that and now their prices fluctuate!

So if you want to save on airfare, I HIGHLY suggest you go to Bing.com, Click the Travel link and take a look around and get used to using their system. Sure, there are TONS of websites like Kayak.com, Cheapflights.com and they are awesome to use! In fact, I often resort to cheapflights.com for my airfare as well. The only major difference between the other sites and Bing.com is that the other sites don’t tell you whether or not to wait!

If nothing else, give it a shot… you may save $30-$40/ ticket and it won’t take you 45 minutes to do so. I always think of my time as money, and if I’m only going to save $30 it better only take me 30 minutes to find a ticket. Well these days, now that I know what I know… I can book a flight in less than ten minutes!

Enjoy the benefits of this system, it is there to get you to use BIng.com as your search engine… so it’s made to be helpful!

Weekend Breaks In Europe – A New Approach To Life: Amsterdam!

A few weeks ago I decided to take my wife and kids to The Netherlands and visit Amsterdam. And what a great idea it was. This city (I had never been there before) was an incredible experience. It is a monument in itself (although they are doing a lot of work on a new metro line, which makes it a bit messy in the city I must say).

Anyway, first thing we did was visiting a market called Albert Cuyp (which I believe was some mariner from the good old days) and this was quite an experience. I wish we had such markets in my own country. You could really buy anything (well, almost anything) from watches to flowers and all kinds of food. You could also really see that Surinam has been a part of the Netherlands once. A lot of people from this area now live in Holland and there are plenty of them on the market selling their goods.

Next thing we did was seeing a movie in a theatre called Tuschinski’s (I hope I spell it right). Gee, this place was so nice!! Apparently it was renovated recently, but the guy in the cinema told us it was built in the late 1800′s by a guy called Tuschinski. Well, he did a remarkable job. It just breathes history this place and I have never seen a cinema like it anywhere. And I must say it was looking a lot better than the movie we saw, of which I can not even remember the title.

Right after that, we visited a square called Leidseplein, where we had a drink on one of the (heated) terraces. When you sit there, you can see all kinds of people passing by from a lot of different cultures. Amsterdam has inhabitants from 167 nationalities as we could read in an advertisement in the streetcars.

Our day today ended with a visit to a splendid restaurant called Casa Peru. It was recommended to us by some locals who had a reservation and didn’t manage to go, so we took their places. The restaurant, located along the canals, serves South American food and although the name of the dishes didn’t sound too promising, the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, when you go to Amsterdam, it will be hard to get to this restaurant, because you have to reserve weeks in advance. Anyway, that was Amsterdam today. Hope you visit sometime.

There are many cheap flights to London so take advantage of the special offers and you will have more to spend on experiencing this beautiful city. There are a lot of cheap hotels in central London so you can save money and then enjoy a night out at a London Theatre and then treat yourself to dinner at one of the many lovely restaurants in London.

Budget Airlines

There are many flights to London England with low cost airlines such as Ryan air and Easy Jet. Book your tickets early and you will generally come across excellent bargains for affordable airline tickets to London England. Ryan air often have flights costing from as little as five pounds so it pays to book as soon as you can. Ryan air and Easy Jet fly to Luton and Stansted International airport and an easy way to travel there is with EasyBus. Prices start from two pounds and you can book your ticket on the internet and then just catch the EasyBus from your international airport to central central London.

If you remember to book your tickets at least two months in advance and can be flexible with your dates you stand an incredibly good chance of getting a cheap flight to London England. Low cost flights do charge for sandwiches and drinks so if you are on a budget just purchase drinks in the air terminal cafes and shops.

Flight Comparison Websites

For excellent deals on cheap airfare to London check out Alpharooms and if you’re looking for a cheap hotel in central London they have some great deals. You can also check on other price comparison websites such as Kayak, Skyscanner and Travelsupermarket for flights with other airlines such as Monarch, Flybe or BMI Baby who often have special offers. Definitely use the price comparison websites as budget airlines are not the only airlines offering good deals.

Hidden Charges

There are many flights costing as little as 1 but beware the hidden extras as there is always something which isn’t included. Ryan Air often say taxes are included but forget to mention administration costs which can be 15 on each ticket. Debit card charges are often 5 per person each way which also comes to a lot for a group or family.

Luggage

You can cut down on traveling costs on your city breaks and short journeys to London by not packing your heavy clothes, just wear them. Coats and boots weigh a lot so wear them on the flight and then all you need to take is hand luggage. Many airlines such as Ryan Air and Easy Jet permit only 1 piece of hand luggage per person. And as laptops and bags are also regarded as hand baggage, you must store them inside your hand luggage. An additional benefit of traveling with only hand luggage is you will likely be quickly out of the airport as you will not have to wait for your luggage.

If you want to buy anything in duty free the items must also be stored within your hand luggage. This is another reason why several folks don’t bother purchasing duty free, plus the prices are now much higher than before. Most flights allow 10kg for hand luggage so check this on your scales at home prior to leaving for your airport. Also don’t forget to print out your boarding pass because the charge at the international airport might be forty pounds for issuing another boarding pass.

Help Is Here…. You Need To Get It Now!

My wife was recently traveling to a meeting while driving on interstate 94. Unbeknown to her as she approached Minneapolis, major construction had begun that morning. As she approached, a construction exit sign ushered all traffic off the highway and dumped them into the city.

Everyone was now being dumped into the city. Being unfamiliar with the city streets, and absolutely no detour signage to rely on, she was in a jam. Her meeting was scheduled at 8:30AM and time was slipping away. Fortunately, we have free concierge service from the travel and vacation booking website. She picked up her phone and called them right away for help.

So… you never heard of this before? Let me help you. The next time you book an airline ticket with this web site, you will receive 30 minutes of free concierge service. You can use it anytime. Ask them anything. This is what they are there for. Try it once, you will love it and be hooked like we are!

Now, returning to the story, she is on the phone talking to the concierge. He is calm, and calming her down too all the while beginning to understand what is at issue. Timing was everything at this point and he knew just what to do.

The concierge is always sitting in front of a computer, and before long had researched the Minnesota highway department’s web site for road closures. Apparently the highway department failed to tell anyone about this closing. Not good! The concierge began to give her step-by-step guidance back to the highway on the other side of the city.

After 30 minutes of maneuvering through the city, the concierge was still on the phone with her. This was above and beyond the call of duty. This was Priceless!

In an event like this, without the concierge service this could have been horrible event for my wife. Fortunately it was not. Our belief in this company is now through the roof. We will always book our travel and vacations here. Let’s here it for Rovia! Awesome…

A Couple Of Fast Tips To Find The Best Student Discount Flights

July 23, 2010 by Caiden Fischer · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Cheap Airfares

Flying to a popular student destination during Spring Break or holidays from school can be fun and exciting. When you find the best student discount flights to the place you are headed, it’s even more fun. Before you start the adventure, take some time to plan your trip so it will be easy, fun, and exciting.

There are student discount clubs that you can join for a fee. The costs for these clubs is different and some offer entire vacation packages for a discount. You’ll want to compare the costs of these kinds of clubs and making the reservations yourself before you commit to a travel agency.

In order to find out the best student discount rates, you will need to call each of the airlines that fly to the place you are headed for. When you call, be sure to tell the representative you are student before you start talking about where you are going. There are different screens for different types of fliers and the student discounts are on a screen of their own. If the representative gets the regular flight screen up, you will have to wait for up to five minutes while she closes out and starts over.

There are a limited number of student discount seats available for flights. The airlines will only provide the discount for that number of seats. To be sure you get the student discount, make your reservation as soon as you are sure you are going on the trip. This will assure that you have a seat for the flight when you want it. Airlines usually will make reservations three to six months ahead of time. Making the reservation early will save you money.

Be sure to talk to the representative about the rates for flying at different times. Usually if you fly during off-hours, you can get a great discount on the flight, plus your student discount. This can make going to the airport at 2am well worth the savings you will see. There are also cheaper rates if you fly on a weekday. If you are making a round trip reservation, you will save money by flying between Tuesday and Thursday. These are the days when fewer flights are filled up and there are discounts.

Rates change on Wednesday night so when making your reservation call early in the week to take advantage of rates before they are raised. If you are making your reservation during a spike in oil costs it will be more expensive than when the oil is at it’s regular price. The price of flights also is raised during holidays. If you make your reservation well ahead of a holiday, you will get the lower flight rate so again, call early and save money!

Most airlines have a “change” fee clause. This is a kind of insurance that you can get and if you change your reservation there is no added fee. Ask about this insurance if you think you may be changing your reservation. The cost to change a reservation can be very expensive so making sure what the fees will be to make the change will save money and time.

Usually the ticket agent will need you to fax a copy of your current student ID to apply the discount to your ticket. Have the fax ready to send and you can take are of it right there. Another option is to scan your student ID into your computer and email it to the ticket agent. Most airlines will accept the emailed copy of your student ID. When you have taken the steps to fully take advantage of your student discount flights and other discounts offered by the airlines, you will have money to start spending as soon as you land!

There are student discount clubs that you can join for a fee if you are interested in student discount flights. The costs for these clubs differs and some offer entire vacation packages for a discount, take for example cheapest flights to new york.
